Abstract/Summary

The strip map and sample excavation at Barn Farm, Weston by Welland, Northamptonshire involved the stripping of an area ahead of a new barn. The farm is located at the site of a Roman marching camp and previous work has found the enclosure ditch, stake holes and pits. The stripped area was shallow and heavily disturbed with east to west orientated furrows and north to south orientated plough marks scarring the natural substratum. Despite the disturbance several features were found in the north-eastern corner and a concentration was found against the western edge.
