Abstract/Summary

The 71 trenches excavated confirmed and detailed the outcomes of the geophysical survey: Iron Age enclosure activity in the north-east of site and various ground disturbances, particularly in the Field 19 that can, only in part be attributed to post-medieval quarrying and landscape manipulation of springs in the form of a well; ridge and furrow agricultural activity could be seen at varying survivability across the site. Single Bronze Age pottery sherd hinted at earlier activity towards the west.
