Abstract/Summary

Ian Farmer Associates Archaeological Services carried out an Archaeological Watching Brief during the geotechnical trial pitting and cable percussion boreholes along the proposed route of the Cross Valley Link Road (CVLR) from fields along Camp Lane, Kislingbury to Weedon Road A4500, Northampton between January 31st and February 8th, 2006. The site comprised cultivated land, and can be located between NGR SP 713 587 to the south and SP 708 602 to the north. Although the watching brief has provided an opportunity to examine the principle stratigraphic and physical characteristics of deposits in this area, the investigation has yielded no new archaeological evidence to enhance our understanding of the history of the site.
