Abstract/Summary

MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology), was commissioned by Mr Lee Randall of LMR Designs to undertake a programme of archaeological observation, investigation, recording, analysis and publication of works on land at 15 Roade Hill, Ashton, Northamptonshire. The construction works comprised demolition of the existing single-storey dwelling and the erection of a new, two-storey dwelling. The corresponding archaeological works were limited to observation of groundworks related to footing excavation of new dwelling which was located within the earlier footings. No associated services were observed as these reoccupied previous trenches. During observation one former service trench was noted. It contained modern ceramic pipe. No features of archaeological nature were present. It was noted that the northernmost part of the developed plot was reduced prior the monitoring.
