Abstract/Summary

MOLA conducted an archaeological desk-based assessment of land at Grange Park, Northampton, Northamptonshire. The site contains no designated heritage assets. Within the development area are six undesignated heritage assets: a prehistoric enclosure and five records related to shrunken medieval or post-medieval settlement. There is potential for middle and late Iron Age, Roman and Saxon settlement to be present due to the close proximity of previous archaeological remains to the west. The land appears to have been ploughed at least from the early 18th century to the present, based on cartographic evidence.
