Abstract/Summary

Top Farm is located on the north-west side of the High Street in Great Doddington, NN29 7TQ, a village just south of Wellingborough (NGR: SP 88396 64934; Fig 1). The current plot comprises the principal farmhouse and an associated group of farm buildings arranged around a central stockyard with a further plot of pasture on the western side. Recently purchased in 2019, the farmhouse and associated barns are the focus of this report which has been commissioned from Iain Soden Heritage Services by the new owners in order to more fully understand the architectural development of the complex, in connection with potential alterations to the property.
