Abstract/Summary

A detailed magnetic gradiometer survey was undertaken for Armour Heritage in connection with a proposed solar farm on land near Grendon, Northamptonshire. The survey area totalled c. 74.3ha. The site has a number of anomalies, some of which are strongly suggestive of Iron Age or Roman enclosures. Large parts of the site have magnetic disturbance, probably related to modern quarrying, which has the potential to mask archaeological features.
