Abstract/Summary

MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) conducted an archaeological desk-based heritage assessment of Northampton Market Square, Northamptonshire. A visit was also made to Northamptonshire Archives. The Northamptonshire HER was consulted for sites and monuments within 250m of the site boundary. All available relevant sources, including LiDAR data, historic maps, online sources, grey literature and journals were collated in order to provide as accurately as possible, a realistic assessment of the archaeological remains and likelihood of their survival on the site.
