Abstract/Summary

This report deals with the investigative conservation of copper alloy and iron objects recovered from excavations at Apethorpe Hall, Northamptonshire. X-radiography was used to aid identification, followed by selective cleaning of the finds, and X-ray fluorescence to investigate metal coatings on some of the objects.
