Abstract/Summary
The removal of soil revealed a ditch 1m wide by 0.35m deep, cut into natural sandstone, with a flat bottom into which a slot 0.30m wide by 0.15 deep, possibly for posts, had been cut. The ditch contained mainly 3rd and 4th century Romano-British pottery and other 4th century finds.
