Abstract/Summary

During January 2021 archaeological monitoring was undertaken at Magnolia, Church Lane, Alderton during groundworks for the construction of an extension to the existing house. Two monitoring visits were made and an area of modern disturbance was observed in the central part of the footprint of the proposed extension. The remaining footing trenches were cut into the undisturbed natural stratum and no significant heritage assets were observed. The impact of the development on significant buried heritage assets is assessed as low.
