Abstract/Summary
A programme of monitoring and recording was carried out during groundworks for an extension at Pond Yard, Back Lane, Collyweston, Northamptonshire. Archaeological features of medieval date (AD 1066-1540) have been identified on land immediately adjacent to the monitored area. The site lies within the former grounds of Collyweston Manor and on the edge of Collyweston Deer Park. Earthworks including fishponds are located immediately to the south of the Site. The monitoring revealed a sequence of natural and topsoil deposits. Finds comprised late 18th to early 20th century pottery and glass.
