Abstract/Summary
Archaeological observation, investigation and recording was undertaken on groundworks for a new swimming pool at the former Wheatsheaf public house, 56 Park Street, King’s Cliffe, Northamptonshire. The former Wheatsheaf is an 18th century Grade II Listed Building (List Entry 1066561) that lies within the setting of the former village smithy. No archaeological features were revealed during the work. Early modern pottery and glass were noted in the topsoil but were not retained.
