Title | Archaeological Monitoring and Recording Report: Land to the Rear of Quietways, Humfrey Lane, Boughton, Northamptonshire |
Author/Originator | Derek Watson PhD |
Date/Year | 2024 |
Abstract/Summary
Between October 2021 AND March 2022, KDK Archaeology Ltd undertook a programme of Observation and Recording on Land to Rear of Quietways, Humfrey Lane, Boughton, Northamptonshire, prior to the construction of a dwelling and detached garage. The Watching Brief did not encounter any archaeological finds, features or deposits within the development’s footprint, which was reduced to the natural geology. There was no evidence for any form of ground disturbance e.g., the truncation of the soil profile. Despite the archaeological potential of the general area, which has archaeological sites/finds dating from prehistory onwards, the development site may have been situated outside of the core settlement area, or it lies between widely dispersed features.
