Title Archaeological geophysical survey on the Anglian Water 'Tiffield pump away' route Tiffield, Northamptonshire September - October 2024
Author/Originator
Date/Year 2024

Abstract/Summary

MOLA (Museum of London Archaeology) was commissioned to conduct c30ha of geophysical survey along the route of a proposed pipeline linking the Tiffield and Towcester Water Recycling Centres in Northamptonshire. The survey detected relatively little of archaeological interest. The most notable features comprised one possible (though very uncertain) ditched enclosure, a few other ditches on the periphery of Hulcote shrunken village and bands of disturbed ground on the former lines of two 19th-century railway embankments.
