Title | ARCHAEOLOGICAL MONITORING AND RECORDING, 14 ASHLEIGH CLOSE, BARBY, NORTHAMPTONSHIRE |
Author/Originator | Mark Peachey |
Date/Year | 2019 |
Abstract/Summary
Archaeological monitoring and recording was undertaken during groundworks on land to the rear of 14 Ashleigh Close, Barby, Northamptonshire. This was because the site lies close to Barby Castle and within an area of known medieval (AD1066-1540) earthworks. The monitoring and recording revealed a sequence of natural, subsoil, topsoil and levelling deposits. There were no archaeological features or finds.
