Abstract/Summary
In July 2024, three trial trenches were excavated within Doddridge car park off Doddridge Street. The trial trenching identified buried soils and pits likely medieval in date as well as the remains of 19th century ironstone courtyard buildings. The evaluation also identified the southern extent of St Mary’s Burial Ground. Three geotechnical boreholes were monitored during the duration of the evaluation.
