Author/Originator | Graham Cadman |

Abstract/Summary
Two historic iron boundary markers near St Peter’s Church in Weston Favell, Northampton commemorate the 1931 extension of the Northampton County Borough boundary. One marker remains intact and clearly visible, while the other is fragmentary and in poor condition. These rare 20th-century cast-iron markers represent a significant moment in local administrative history and reflect the area's resistance to incorporation into Northampton until 1965. Despite their historical value, they lack formal heritage protection, and the report recommends their inclusion on the Local List to ensure preservation and recognition.
