| Author/Originator | Thomas Smith |
| Date/Year | 2024 |
Abstract/Summary
Pre-Construct Archaeology was commissioned by NC Hamilton Limited to undertake archaeological monitoring and recording at 12a East Street, Long Buckby. The investigations were required to record any archaeological remains revealed during groundworks associated with the new development, comprising of a new build property, as part of the planning consent required by West Northamptonshire Council. Despite the site having the potential for Roman and later activity based on previous investigations in the vicinity, no potential archaeological features were encountered during the monitoring. The overall absence of archaeological finds, features or deposits appears to be due to the lack of previous anthropogenic activity within the site, rather than truncation across the area of development.
