Abstract/Summary

This report describes the results of an archaeological observation carried out by Pre-Construct Archaeology on land at Manorfield, Bridge Street, Weldon (NGR SP 92629 89807). The observation occurred between the 31st of August and the 6th of September 2017 and the work was commissioned by J.E.D. Design (Architectural Services) Ltd on behalf of Mr & Mrs Gjoka. Archaeological observation and recording occurred during the stripping of the house area and during the excavation of footings for both the house and garage. The aim of the work was to characterise the archaeological potential of the proposed development area. The observation identified no significant archaeological finds or features. The only observed feature was the demolished remains of a modern building which were observed in the footings for the new garage.
