Author/Originator
Date/Year 2019

Abstract/Summary

This report presents the results of a programme of archaeological observation, investigation, recording, analysis and publication undertaken on land adjacent to 36 Masefield Road, Kettering, Northamptonshire. The project was commissioned by Tom Graham Homes Ltd in advance of proposed residential development of a two storey dwelling. On the advice of the Local Planning Authority of Northamptonshire County Council, a planning condition requiring archaeological observation, investigation, recording, analysis and publication was attached to planning permission granted by Kettering Borough Council. No archaeological features were recorded during the investigation, suggesting that the Roman settlement located close to the north does not extend into this area.
