Abstract/Summary
This report presents the results of a programme of historic building recording of the barn and cottages at Home Farm, Twywell, Northamptonshire, centred on National Grid Reference SP 95299 78354. Home Farm comprises an early post-medieval farmstead built originally on a linear plan form and adapted over time to form a courtyard. The principal range, orientated north-east to south-west, is most likely dating to the 17th century with the northern range a later addition on the site of a contemporary building. Surviving evidence suggests these buildings functioned as a threshing barn, and cattle accommodation. The southern part of the principal range was converted into two small cottages in the mid-19th century.
