Abstract/Summary

A programme of Archaeological, Observation, Investigation, Recording, Analysis and Publication was undertaken during groundworks on land off Wakerley Road, Harringworth, Northamptonshire. This work was required to comply with a condition attached to planning permission for the erection of a dwellingwith garage and associated infrastructure.The Site is situated within a landscape rich in archaeologically significant remains, including Late Neolithic/Early Bronze pits c. 250m to the south-east, and a Saxon artefact scatter c. 400m to the north east. The current programme of archaeological workrevealedno evidence of significant archaeological remains,with the only features noted on the site being related to demolished modern farm buildings.
