Abstract/Summary

The geophysical survey at Upper Stowe, Northamptonshire identified a number of magnetically strong anomalies that could be evidence of kilns, although it is equally possible that they are simply buried ferrous objects. Ridge and furrow cultivation was detected, and numerous responses of natural origin were recorded. Anomalies of uncertain origin are most likely to be due to agricultural activity.
