Abstract/Summary
A detailed magnetometer survey was conducted over approximately 23 hectares of land to the north-east of Crick, Northamptonshire. No definite archaeological anomalies have been identified, however ditch-type responses of possible archaeological interest have been mapped, including a tentative small sub-circular feature. Several weak curvilinear trends of are visible in the results, though their exact origin remains unclear. More recent agricultural activity is evidenced through remains of ridge and furrow cultivation, a former field boundary, ploughing effects, land drains and infilled ponds. Modern underground services have also been mapped, along with areas of natural variation and areas of magnetic disturbance from nearby ferrous objects.
