Abstract/Summary
Archaeological Services WYAS was commissioned by Tetra Tech Ltd to undertake historic building recording at RAF Croughton, Brackley, Northamptonshire. Assets to be recorded were three seagull trenches, a mushroom shaped pillbox, two holding pads and other features associated with the runway/taxiways. The survey confirmed that the upstanding remains of the defensive structures have been demolished or heavily degraded since their inclusion in the HER, leaving only earthwork signatures. The aircraft holding pad survives as a hard landscape feature.
