Abstract/Summary

Archaeological excavations in 1957 uncovered a stone-built corridor villa and other buildings ranged around a courtyard. A circular post-hole structure associated with late Iron Age pottery was uncovered to the north. The watching brief intended to check whether this large site extended as far as the line of the road corridor and if it did so to record any archaeological remians which were uncovered.
