Abstract/Summary

Allison Homes has proposed the development of 2.15ha of land for residential use. Following an archaeological evaluation a 20mx30m area of land was identified for full excavation. The previous trial trench evaluation undertaken over the whole development area concluded that, despite extensive quarrying activity and post medieval development connected to the railway station, the current area under consideration was fairly undisturbed.
