Abstract/Summary
The premises were surveyed on behalf of Northamptonshire Archaeology Unit in September 1988 to investigate the surviving features of the building and to establish the constructional periods. The survey was limited due to the inability to see the roof void (which often contains dating evidence), the boxing out and dry lining of the walls in No 3a and blocking of the fireplaces. The former made it difficult to ascertain wall thicknesses and the latter made it difficult to identify the use to which the rooms were put.
