Abstract/Summary
Three trenches approximately 2m long and 50cms wide and 1.8-2m deep were machine cut at the locations shown on the plan. No features were visible in any of the sections. The topsoil in trench A contained many pieces of sandstone with a uniform thickness that might have been used as building material. There was modern (?) animal bone in the upper level of trench B and trench C was associated with a modern building.
