Abstract/Summary

Excavation for basement of the new County Archive during May 1989 exposed in section a series of features including several steep-sided, flat-bottomed pits. Fifty sherds of pottery recovered including one decorated sherd. Provisional date is late Iron Age, although occupation may have started in the middle Iron Age.
