Abstract/Summary
The site of the church of the Austin Friary may be the only one to survive with the possibility of remains below ground that might be recovered by excavation. Suggests that it is more likely that Lady Grace and the other firary buildings are, as most documentary evidence suggests, west of 98 Bridge Street, and closer to the town wall. It suggsts a site centred fifty metres south of the centre indicated on the RCHME Fig 7, and a little closer to Bridge Street.
