Abstract/Summary

Desk based study and trial excavation were carried out ahead of proposed redevelopment at the Memorial Hall, Kings Sutton. Examination of historical maps suggest that the area was situated within an allotment/ garden to the rear of properties fronting onto Whittall Street from the 19th century onwards. The four trial trenches excavated within the application area revealed a sparse scatter of archaeological features of uncertain date.
