Abstract/Summary

An archaeological evaluation was carried out in July 1993 on land adjacent to little Lane in the rear garden of 2 Corby Road, Stanion, in order to determine whether archaeological remains might be affected by proposed redevelopment. A single trial trench located late medieval pits containing kiln waste, together with clay dumps and the remains of a late medieval building. All are probably connected with the Stanion ceramics industry which flourished between the 13th and 15th centuries.
