Abstract/Summary
A desk-based assessment has indicated that there is little evidence of medieval or earlier occupation of the area between St Andrew's and broad Street, Northampton. It has also shown that if remains did exist along the frontages, 19th- and 20th century cellars will have removed any meaningful trace. More widespread damage may have also been caused by modern foundations.
