Abstract/Summary

In September 1979 a pumping station and holding tank were to be constructed on the eastern edge of Woodford village as part of a new sewer expansion scheme. They were to be built on the western edge of a field containing the scheduled earthworks of what was once the large 17th century house of the St John family.
