Description

House, now 2 dwellings. Datestone W/CE/1686 altered C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 3-unit plan. Single storey with attic. Irregular 3-window range of 3-light ovolo-moulded stone mullion windows, set high above ground level. 3 gabled eaves dormers to attic; one has remains of leaded-light. Ashlar gable parapet to left. 2 stone stacks at ridge. Left gable has C20 door to left and C20 casement to centre, both under wood lintels. Stone mullion window above, ith datestone in apex of gable. Interior of No.23 has remains of an open fireplace with bressumer. Converted into 3 dwellings during C19. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p55)
