Description

House. Early C19. Squared coursed limestone with ashlar dressings and Collyweston slate roof. L-shape plan. 2 storeys. 2 bays. Bay to right breaks forward as a gabled cross-wing. Bay to left is a one-window range of 8-paned unhorned sash windows with gauged stone heads, keyblocks and ashlar surrounds. Return wall of cross-wing is a similar one-window range with 6-panel door, under lattice porch, to left. Gable end of cross wing has one 6-paned sash window with stone lintel and keyblock and ashla surround, to left, and similar 9-paned window to right, probably inserted later. Stone stacks at ends. Interior not inspected but noted as having early C19 fittings. Included for group value. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p103)
