Description
House. Dated 1697. Coursed squared ironstone, corrugated iron roof replacing thatch, brick ridge and end stacks. 3-unit lobby entry plan. 2 storeys and attic. 6-panel part-glazed door just to left of centre with C20 gabled hood. Datestone above inscribed P/WS/AD/1697. To left a 3-light casement window replacing 2 older windows whose lintels remain in place above. To right of door a 2-light casement and further 6-panel part-glazed door with C20 hood to far right. 2-light casements to first floor. Windows and doors have timber lintels. Stone coped gables with kneelers. Brick stack to right is a later addition against gable end wall. Single-storey brick rear extension. Interior has ogee-stop-chamfered spine beams, 2 open fireplaces with stop-chamfered bressumers, winder stair and collar truss roof.
