Description
House, formerly farmhouse. Late C17 with C19 alterations. Coursed limestone rubble, corrugated iron roof over thatch and brick ridge and end stacks. 2-storey, 3-window range. 3-unit plan. C20 doors to left and right of centre with wood lintels, that to left with straight head on brackets and lintel extending over 2-light casement window to left. 3-light casements either side of right door and 2-light casements to 1st floor. C19 2-storey brick extension to rear linking main house with small 2-storey, 2-unit cottage to rear, now part of general accommodation. Interior has stop-chamfered spine beams and open fireplace with stop-chamfered bressumer. Collar-truss roof. Left end bay probably used as shop originally with loft above and very large open fireplace to ground floor room with cambered bressumer and bread oven. A late C14 kiln has been excavated in front garden.
