Description
Circa 1900 purpose built bank and house with much Georgian detail. 2 storeys. Roughcast 1st floor with sandstone dressings. Gable end graded slate roof with copings and corniced ashlar chimneys. Moulded stone cornice and parapet with coping. 4 windows to 1st floor with shallow stone architrave surrounds and cornice over, plate glass sashes. The ground floor has built out ashlar sandstone bank front: one window to left and 2 to right, framed by fluted Renaissance Ionic pilasters on pedestals. 6 fielded panel door in architrave case. Plain frieze and moulded cornice broken forward in line with pilasters, crowning blocking course. The elevation is an integral part of the street picture.
