Description

Public house. C17 origins remodelled early C19. Squared coursed limestone with Collyweston slate roof. Originally 3-unit plan. 2 storeys. 5-window range of horizontal sliding casements, with glazing bars, set under eaves. 3-window range of similar casement windows under wood lintels at ground floor. C20 door with wooden surround, to left of centre, and C19 plank door under wood lintel to right of centre. All windows have C20 shutters. Blocked door to far right. Left corner is chamfered. Brick stacks at ridge and end. C19 single-storey, one-bay extension to right. (RCHM: An Inventory of Architectural Monuments in North Northamptonshire: p129)
