Description
Early C17, refronted early to mid C19. Stucco road front, hipped Welsh slated roof. 3 storeys, 7 sash windows in reveals. Tall plinth, rusticated quoins. Arched doorway wide carriage entrance. Tiled roofed back wings, central courtyard. Interior includes rooms (said to retain original panelling) used by Charles I before battle of Naseby. Painted canvas ornament reputed to survive in one room. Good C17 staircase. Included partly for historical interest.
