Description

Chest tombs and headstones. Late C17 - C19. Ironstone and limestone. 3 chest tombs approx. 1m. south of chancel: dates 1762; 1806; and late C18 with baluster corners. Row of 5 headstones approx. 3m. east of south-east corner of chancel: late C17/early C18: four with cherubs heads in broken pediments and one with kneeling figure, swags and winged skulls. Headstone approx. 5m. south-east of south-east corner: 1718, with hourglass. 3 chest tombs approx. 4m. north of south wall: all with baluster corners: dated 1817; 1826; and late C18. Chest tomb approx. 5m. south of south-east corner of south aisle: dated 1721; baluster corners and cartouches at ends. 4 headstones approx. 6m. south of south aisle: late C17/early C18: 2 with swags and 2 with broken pediments. 2 headstone approx. 3m. south of south aisle: one dated 1695 with winged hourglass; the other dated 1708 with cherubs head in broken pediment. The other memorials of late C18/C19 are not of special architectural interest.
