Description

Formerly the Northamptonshire Union Bank. 1841 by E F Law. Ashlar Neoclassical front with tall Composite order to upper floors. Basement and 3 storeys, balustraded roof parapet either side of pediment on 4 fluted half columns. Channelled ground floor has doorways either end, 3 sash windows in projecting centre. Upper floors have end pilasters; 5 sash windows in eared architrave surrounds, central window frieze, cornice on consoles. Entablature with dentil cornice, tympanum high relief of phoenix, logs and flames.
