Description

Farm house and adjoining cottage, now a house. Mid and late C18, incorporating part of an earlier house. Brick and squared ironstone with gabled and hipped Welsh slate roofs. Rebated eaves, 2 side wall and 3 gable brick stacks. L-plan 3-storey, 3-bay range has a central reeded wooden doorcase with a hood on brackets and a 5-panel door flanked by single 3-light casements. Above, a central 2-light casement flanked by single 3-light casements. Above again, a central blank panel flanked by single smaller casements. All these casements have mullions and transoms and segmental rubbed brick heads.To the left, a 2-bay cottage with a 3- light iron framed leaded casement with a wooden lintel. To the right, a blocked door. Above, a smaller similar casement. To the left again, a C19 outbuilding with a large glazing bar casement.Mid C18 north west wing has 2 late C18 mullioned casements flanked to left by a blocked door and to right by a pair of C20 sliding doors. Above ,to the left, a 3-light casement with a central iron-framed leaded light.
