Description
Water tower. C.1904. Red, yellow and blue polychrome brickwork with lead and plain-tile roof. Octagonal tower of 5 stages. Pairs of cast-iron windows with shallow arch heads to alternate faces of lower stage and similar single-windows to next 3 stages with tall arch head surrounds. Upper stage is corbelled out with central window to each face surrounded by blank arcading. Large square buttresses at corners terminating as short square pinnacles. Decorative parapet, roof not visible. Elevation to road has 2-storey gabled porch with plain-tile roof. Large arch head entrance with glazed doors has 3 square head windows above and gabled parapet. Interior not inspected.
