Description
House. Early/mid C18. Squared coursed limestone with thatch roof. 3-unit plan. 2 storeys. Entrance front at right angles to road is a 3-window range of irregularly spaced casements under gauged stone heads and wood lintels. Window to first floor left is a leaded casement. Plank door with strap hinges to left of centre is also under a gauged stone head. Semi-circular former stair turret to right of centre has a lean-to roof. Central ashlar stack with moulded cornice and brick stack at end. Gable elevation abutting road has C19 casements under gauged stone heads and ashlar gable parapets and kneelers. Interior not inspected but noted as having ceiling beams and remains of open fireplace. Used for a time as an early Baptist meeting house.
