Description

Country house. Late C17 and early C18. Lias ashlar and regular coursed limestone with plain-tile roof. Double-depth plan. 2 storeys with attic. Entrance front of 5-window range. Part-glazed double doors are slightly to left of centre set in Gibbs surround with pediment over. Sash windows with glazing bars under gauged stone heads. Rusticated quoins. Moulded stone cornice and 3 hipped roof dormers with casement windows. Ashlar gable parapets and rendered stacks at ends. Rear has regular coursed lias wing with late C19 wing attached to right and central C18 stucco projection. Interior: entrance hall has staircase with mid C18 balustrades probably reset.
