Description

Manor house. Mid C17 and C19. Regular coursed limestone with C20 plain tile and slate roofs. Originally 2-unit plan. 2 storeys with attic. Main front of 3-window range with central gabled two-storey porch. Stone lintel to outer porch door and studded plank inner door with strap hinges and moulded stone surround with 4-centre head. 3-light stone mullion windows, restored C19, to first floor of porch and to left bay. Ground floor window has hood mould. Casement windows with glazing bars and wood lintels to right bay. Ashlar gable parapets and truncated ashlar stacks at ends. C19 single-unit extension with attic is attached to right. 2 casement windows with glazing bars and slate roof. Left gable has single-light attic window with moulded stone surround. Rear elevation of 3-window range has 2 casement windows under wood lintels and one late C19 oriel window to far left. Mid C19 square stone bay to right. Pair of central glazed doors with lattice porch. Interior not inspected but noted as having panelled window reveals.
